    Administrator Permision

I recently installed Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600 on my computer. I happened
to install it on the same hard-drive as my previous version of Windows. This
moved my old windows file to a file called windows.old. Because I have a new
windows folder I have to re-install all my programs. However when I tried to
access an .exe file I got a error message saying (You don't have permision to
open this file. Contact the file owner or an administator to obtain
permision.) I am already the administrator and have uac disabled. I would
just download the file again, but now I can't even delete it, this presents a
problem as it is about 2gigs. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Try this:

    - Click start
    - Find command prompt
    - Right-click it, and click Run As Administrator
    - Browse to the file in question
    - Run the application from the command prompt
