64 Bit Vista and VPN to SBS

I have a SBS 2003 Fileserver which I can connect using the sbspackage.exe
file that the server creates with Windows XP or Vista 32 Bit, but when I
tried to use it for 64 Bit Vista, it didn't work. So, I manually created a
Network Connection to the SBS Server, but when I try to login with any user
name and password, I get an Error 619 and cannot connect. I am unable to find
anything specific on this error relating to 64 Bit Vista, is there a solution
to this?
thank you!

RE: 64 Bit Vista and VPN to SBS

I also have an SBS 2003 SP2 environment which I can connect to using Windows
XP or Vista 32 Bit computers, but when we attempt to connect to a workstation
desktop from 64 Bit Vista Home Premium (SP1, I believe), it returns an Error
that the architecture is not supported. I am unable to find anything specific
on this error relating to 64 Bit Vista, is there a solution to this?

Thank you!

RE: 64 Bit Vista and VPN to SBS

This may be the answer:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...c747461.aspx::

Cause: The version of Connection Manager that is included with Windows
SBS is
Quote:

> not compatible with 64-bit editions of Windows Vista."
Solution: Manually configure a VPN connection and then use Remote
Desktop Connection to remotely access the Windows SBS network from a
client computer that is running the 64-bit edition of Windows Vista.
To create a VPN connection from a 64-bit client computer that is running
Windows Vista to the server
