| Guest | RE: setting up a administrator account in start up If you boot into safe mode, I think you'll find that there already is an Administrator account. Go to Control Panel/Users and create a password for it. If there is no Adminstrator account you can create one in the same place. However make sure that your son's account is just a standard user.
