| | Hide Admin Account at Welcome screen but still log on to it??? Hi all, If somebody wanted to in Vista: -Have an admin account not visible (hidden) at the Welcome screen, and -still be able to log onto that account, and -have other standard users log-on without having to use CTRL-ALT-DEL. How would it be done? This is a Workgroup environment, and I'm old fashioned and like the way Win XP treated the Administrator account being hidden, but one could still CTRL-ALT-DEL to the classic logon if the user got themselves locked out. Thanks, Ed Hall |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Hide Admin Account at Welcome screen but still log on to it??? Hello Ed, That option has been removed in Vista. An alternative is to use the log on with user name and password option. This way none of the accounts are displayed. Logon with Username and Password Hope this helps, Shawn Hi all, If somebody wanted to in Vista: -Have an admin account not visible (hidden) at the Welcome screen, and -still be able to log onto that account, and -have other standard users log-on without having to use CTRL-ALT-DEL.
