Vista Tutorial - User Acount Dissapeared

When the welcome screen appears, my user account is no longer there. I log on to another account and can see that all 80gb of my user files are still there (C:\users\), but I cannot gain access to them. My other account was password protected, so I am sure this is the reason it won't let me access these files.

Is there a way I can access these files or restore my ability to log onto the account?

Hello Bob,

You might check with the tutorial below to see if your user account may have been hidden (disabled). If it has been, then you can just unhide (enable) it again for it to show back up.

User Account - Hide

You will need to do this from within an administrator account. If that was your only administrator account and you do not have another one to use, then see if you can boot into Safe Mode with it logged into the built-in Administrator account.
