VISTA VALIDATION again and again......

Hi there just received my dvd of Vista RC1 build 5600, it installed okay and
for a moment I had full access to all the
functions.....but.........sporadically it gives me an error message telling
me there is a problem with my product key and I cant validate the software,
HELP!!

I can't find a solution to the problem and it seems pointless continuing
with the program when I can't use the aero functions, failing that I'll go
back to good old reliable XP

Re: VISTA VALIDATION again and again......

Hi, Smith
For the Aero, If your hardware support.
you can check these:

1.HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\Composition set to 1 (32-bit DWORD)
2.HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\CompositionPolicy set to 2 (32-bit
DWORD)
3.restart the "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager (DWM)" service in
services.msc

Re: VISTA VALIDATION again and again......

Woohoo!! After much searching through the discussion groups on this subject I
have found a solution, it appears there is a conflict between Spyware Doctor
4.0 and RC1....I removed the Spyware and bingo validated and up and running.

Now for some evaluation
