| | "Reset Password..." button on the welcome screen? Guys when you are on the welcome screen and you enter a wrong password for your user, vista shows a "reset password..." option on the bottom. I know how the Reset Password Wizard works and thats NOT my question. My question is how can I make the "reset password..." button open "cmd.exe" instead of the original "Reset Password Wizard".Please help.Thank you in advance. Hello Roma, You cannot using that, but this will show you how to boot to the command prompt instead. Command Prompt at Startup If you just wanted to reset the password, then METHOD THREE in the tutorial below can show you how to.
