reinstall previous version

When I reboot and selecte return to previous version and enter 2 for
C:/windows, I am asked for a password.
I never enterered a password when I installed Vista and when I just press
it does not work. Can anyone help me to return to the previous version
before I upfgraded to Vista?

try to log in eith Administrator account --> pass may be "admin"
