| Guest | admin Hello, when I installed vista, I created an account. But when I rebooted I couldn't see all my imported documents from my old system. So I started logging in as Admin. I installed all my programs under admin and have been using for a few days. I realize I should be using a user account. The question is if I switch to a user account, will I have access to all the programs the I installed as an admin. thanks |

| Guest | Re: admin Hello, You should have access to the programs you installed, unless you specified durring installation that you only wanted the program available to your user account (which generally isn't the default option). You can use the Windows Easy Transfer Wizard to save your documents, settings, etc to a folder on your computer, and then load them in the new user account you create - this will allow you to easily transition from your old account to your new one. -- - JB Microsoft MVP - Windows Shell/User Windows Vista Support Faq http://www.jimmah.com/vista/ |

How can I create a new USER level account and have all the data available to it? When I tried this before, I had all the program access but not the data. It was all empty. thanks |
