Vista - first login in the domain very slow

Hi,

i' have installed on 10 pc Vista Enterprise. After I join the computer to
the domain and reboot, the first login that I do as domain\administrator it
takes between 10 and 15 minutes to login. This on all the pc's , on the local
network and from remote sites connected over wan. Some idea? New dns/wins
settings to setup?

Please post an ipconfig /all from one workstation and the DNS server.

I am having the same issue, the computers take 5-8 minutes to login to the
domain. Someone else suggested disabling IPv6 in vista. I tried that but
was unsuccessful at fixing the problem.

Hello Mauro,

Are the second NIC's cabled to the network, that with 169.xxxxx? If yes,
disable them. And why is their a server with ip from the 10.28 network.

the second ethernet of the Dns server is not connected to the network, and
the 10.28 is a dns server on our wan.
the next pc that I have to install will try disabling the Ipv6, before
joining to the domain.
