Vista - Unable to join domain

Hello,

I have just purchased a Vista Ultimate machine and I'm trying to join my
domain. However, it will not join and says "Login Failure: Uknown user name
or bad password". I've tried using a new login just setup and I've also
tried using pre-existing logins that I know work and neither are successful.


Appreciate any help I can get on this.

Are you using a domain administrator name/password to join the domain?

Yes, in all cases the user has been domain administrator

BTW the PDM is an NT4 machine.

Hello Vic,

Check the LAN manager authentication level on the Vista machine, should be
to high for NT4 domain.
