| | RE: Default Profile & Sysprep Hello, Use the copyprofile setting in the sysprep unattended file. It does the copying for you. The documentation for copyprofile should be in the Window AIK and the BDD Thanks, Darrell Gorter[MSFT] This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights -------------------- |>From: "jw" <jw@hotmail.com> |>Subject: Default Profile & Sysprep |>Date: Wed, 14 Mar 2007 07:25:30 -0500 |>Lines: 16 |>X-Priority: 3 |>X-MSMail-Priority: Normal |>X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2869 |>X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.2962 |>X-RFC2646: Format=Flowed; Original |>Message-ID: <uSFCcPjZHHA.1244@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl> |>Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords |>NNTP-Posting-Host: okcpxfw.okc.gov 205.162.227.132 |>Path: TK2MSFTNGHUB02.phx.gbl!TK2MSFTNGP01.phx.gbl!TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl |>Xref: TK2MSFTNGHUB02.phx.gbl microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords:1454 |>X-Tomcat-NG: microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords |> |>In windows vista, what is the proper way to copy the Administrator profile |>to the default? |> |> |> |> |> |>Then how do you sysprep it and not loose the changes? |> |> |> |>Thanks |> |>JW |> |> |> |

| | Re: Default Profile & Sysprep Hi I got all working except the copyprofile. So far I have not found how or where to change this setting. The documentation says to: Use the following steps to set customized user profiles: 1.. Log on as a user whose profile you can customize (for example, the built-in-administrator account). 2.. Customize the desired user profile settings. 3.. Set CopyProfile to true. 4.. Run sysprep /generalize to copy the customized user profile settings over the default user profile. Where is or how do you "Set CopyProfile to true."? Thanks in advance JW ""Darrell Gorter[MSFT]"" <Darrellg@online.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:Gdw5XqmZHHA.544@TK2MSFTNGHUB02.phx.gbl... > Hello, > Use the copyprofile setting in the sysprep unattended file. > It does the copying for you. > The documentation for copyprofile should be in the Window AIK and the BDD > Thanks, > Darrell Gorter[MSFT] > > This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights > -------------------- > |>From: "jw" <jw@hotmail.com> > |>Subject: Default Profile & Sysprep > |>Date: Wed, 14 Mar 2007 07:25:30 -0500 > |>Lines: 16 > |>X-Priority: 3 > |>X-MSMail-Priority: Normal > |>X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2869 > |>X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.2962 > |>X-RFC2646: Format=Flowed; Original > |>Message-ID: <uSFCcPjZHHA.1244@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl> > |>Newsgroups: > microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords > |>NNTP-Posting-Host: okcpxfw.okc.gov 205.162.227.132 > |>Path: TK2MSFTNGHUB02.phx.gbl!TK2MSFTNGP01.phx.gbl!TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl > |>Xref: TK2MSFTNGHUB02.phx.gbl > microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords:1454 > |>X-Tomcat-NG: > microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords > |> > |>In windows vista, what is the proper way to copy the Administrator > profile > |>to the default? > |> > |> > |> > |> > |> > |>Then how do you sysprep it and not loose the changes? > |> > |> > |> > |>Thanks > |> > |>JW > |> > |> > |> > |

| | Re: Default Profile & Sysprep The CopyProfile setting is in the Speacialize Phase, Windows-Shell-Setup. Now if I can only get it to actually work that would be nice!
