| Guest | Windows update and Administrator Account Running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Dell. I cannot set my Update to automatic because it says some settings are managed by the Administrator. I AM the Administrator. I cannot get the updates to configure correctly because the Automatic Update is greyed out. What can I do? |

Tried to run it and a dos window opened and said that the update was sucessful. I don't seem to have gredit in my version do I? | Guest | Re: Windows update and Administrator Account Group Policy Editor is certainly included in Windows Vista Ultimate. Type "winver" in Start, Search box and press ENTER. This shows the Operating System / edition installed in your computer. To remove the AU/WU restrictions, you may use this REG: http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/wupolicy_remove.reg Download wupolicy_remove.reg and save to Desktop.
