Adiminstrative Rights

I am the only one to use this computer, new laptop using Windows Vista, so I
only have one account (adminstrator). When I try and load my video edtting
software from a disk I get prompted that I must be logged on as the
Administrator to complete the instlation and to check the Adminstrative
Rights. What can be my problem?

Tanks, Chris

Even logged on as an Administrator, most processes only run with User
access. Vista-compatible applications know how to ask you for permission
to use your Administrator rights via User Account Control (UAC). It's
likely that this install is not Vista compatible, and so does not know
how to ask for this. You should be able to get around the problem by
right-clicking the install executable and selecting "Run as Administrator".

For more information, search these forums (or other sources) for "User
Account Control" or "UAC".
