changing administrator settings

I am new to Vista (Ultimate) and trying to run a DOS-based program. The
program seems to load and work but I am having trouble printing - I get an
error message saying "invalid command.com". I wanted to load a previous
version of command.com that had worked with the DOS software and Windows XP
but the security settings within Vista will not allow me to make any changes
to the system32 folder (where the command.com file is located). How do I
change these settings?? I have only one account on the pc and I am the only
one using it (I am listed as the administrator)...

How about using Virtual PC or VMWare Player?
