IUSR user for Vista Home Basic

Does Vista Home Basic have the IUSR user account?
I can't see it in the list of user names.
Can I create one if it doesn't exist?

Thanks

RE: IUSR user for Vista Home Basic

According to this link: http://www.iis.net/1026/SinglePageArticle.ashx

To summarize, in IIS 7.0:

The IUSR built-in account replaces the IUSR_MachineName account
The IIS_IUSRS built-in group replaces the IIS_WPG group
Since the IUSR account is a built in account, it no longer needs a password.
Logically you can think of it as being the same as NETWORKSERVICE or
LOCALSERVICE accounts.

RE: IUSR user for Vista Home Basic

but Homes Basic doesn't have IIS 7.0, right?
does it still have IUSR even if it doesn't have IIS?

RE: IUSR user for Vista Home Basic

Why would you want the IUSR account without IIS? Isn't that what IUSR is for?

RE: IUSR user for Vista Home Basic

The account gets created when you intall IIS7. Vista basic does not have
this option. Is there a specific reason you need an account by this name if
you are not using IIS?
