Vista - I need help Quick ,Please

When I shut dowm my pc runing vista it comes up with the following message :
the following programmes are still runing syssafe.exe this programme is
preventing your computer from shutting down.
I installed this programme for personal reasons but I need the pc to shut
down without displaying this message ,is it possible ?

I would appreciate any help as I am not at all technical and cannot ask my
husband for help !

I looked at the program in question, and it appears to be some type of personal spyware. At any rate, I am doubting it was meant for Vista hence its reason for not shutting down correctly. The only thing I can think of is trying to find the exe file and then right clicking the file go to properties find compatiability mode and set it to Windowx XP SP2. This may help or hurt. Spyware is unpredictable, and never fun to work with in my opinion.

That syssafe.exe software is not programmed properly or is not compatible
with Vista. You need to contact the maker of that software to get a
resolution for the problem.

it may be spyware... a bit of googling shows up...

syssafe.exe (ghostlog spyware) - Details
If your computer has a process called syssafe.exe running, the spyware
program 'ghostlog' may be installed on your computer. The 'ghostlog' program
will monitor activity on your pc and potentially send this information to a
third party.

syssafe.exe is considered to be a security risk, not only because spyware
removal programs flag ghostlog spyware as spyware, but also because a number
of users have complained about its performance.
