Laptop password reset

I have some how or someone has changed my password on my laptop and I cannot
log on at all. It tells me to put in the usb password setup thing.. I just
received this laptop and I don't have what it is asking for. How do I get
into my laptop to change the password?

Re: Laptop password reset

It may be asking for the BitLocker USB key. It is a USB memory drive that
stores your password for BitLocker. If you didn't setup BitLocker, or don't
have a USB flash disk, it might be a laptop vendor specific issue. What kind
of laptop is it?

Re: Laptop password reset

Hi I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 (i think, its at home in a box right now)

It is pretty new but the cheeky bugger also just locked me out for no reason.
I haven't changed the password but it says my password is incorrect.

Nobody else changed it, i didn't change it and i haven't forgotten it.

I don't have a reset disk and Vista doesn't let administrators change passwords without the old one.

What do I do?
