Insufficient permissions to delete file....

I found some "junk" files on my drive D and attempted to dekete them. (I have
Admin permission on my local Vista Ultimate box). I was not allowed to
delete the file, getting an "insufficient permisisons" error message. Can
anyone comment on this?

TIA,

Barkingdog

It depends on the file, where did it come from? How was it created and on
what OS was it created? What user permissions did the creator of the file
have? How are the attributes and permissions set on the file now?

RE: Insufficient permissions to delete file....

I have had this problem too, I found that if you restart the computer and try
deleting them again it sometimes works or move their location (if it'll let
you), then restart and try deleting.

I got so frustrated with windows vista I'm actually back on XP now, so much
better and easier to use!

Good Luck!
