| Guest | Cannot access file due to access permissions Hi, I was just meddling with the access permissions (Propertise -> Security)of a folder that I have and I must have done something wrong because now whenever I try to do anything with the folder or the files within, I get the message : "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I've tried to restore the permissions but I keep getting error messages that says I do not have the permissions to do so. I would really appreciate any help. |

| Guest | Re: Cannot access file due to access permissions Hello, in the security tab, who has now reading/writing permissions? Try taking over the owner rights: In tab "Security" -> Advanced -> tab "Owner" -> Edit... -> click your Username, and check "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects", click Apply. Then, try giving yourself the right permissions again. Greetings, P.
