Windows.old

When I upgraded to Vista a directory called windows.old was created which
contains my old windows xp system. Is there any reason I can't delete this
directroy? It's taking up needed space on my computer.

If you happy with Vista and confident that you won't need to revert to
the earlier version of Windows, you can safely remove it. There should
be an option within the Control Panel's "Programs and Features" applet
to let you remove it and the option to revert.

Re: Windows.old

Dell

Use the Disk Cleanup Tool in Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools.
There is an option in that tool to remove this file.
