| Guest | Blank desktop for user on domain I am using Windows Vista Business Edition and successfully hooked it into our domain. With the domain administrator account I can login, desktop comes up etc. Vista was cleanly installed with non-OEM licensing (standard retail key for this one). When I add a domain user to the Administrators group on the local machine the account can login fine but gets a blank blue screen and sits there. I should note that if I do the same thing with one of my Windows XP Pro machines, my users can login fine. This is my first attempt at Vista on our domain. We are not using roaming desktops. I have 4 domain servers, 1 running Server 2000, one running Server 2003, one running Server 2003 x64, and one running Server 2003 R2 x86 - all standard versions. Any suggestions as to what I may have missed would be appreciated. |

| Guest | RE: Blank desktop for user on domain I figured it out - I had to turn off the user account control and then it worked properly.
