| Guest | How do I rename the Admin home directory? I am running Vista Ultimate and have an Admin account called "Admin" and 2 user accounts setup. The Admin account has a home directory currently not called Admin. Is there a simple way to rename the existing home directory without causing any issues for the account? I tried to simply rename the folder but it doesn't make the change nor does it give an error message...which is odd. In the CONTROL PANEL-> USER ACCOUNTS it looks like I can change the account name, but that is not what I want to do. I just want to rename the home directory so that it is named "Admin". Can this be done easily without causing major problems? |

| Guest | Re: How do I rename the Admin home directory? Hello, no, this is not possible. The only way (but it's not that good) is to delete Admin, create it new, and then copy the files and folders from the old directory to the newly created one. Greetings, P.
