| | Re: problem with admin account Leespurs With Vista, even though you are logged in with an administrator account, you are still running with standard privileges. If you want to invoke your admin powers you need to elevate the process that needs this power. If an installation program is Vista compatible, it will ask you to elevate the installation process with admin privileges. If it does not ask you for permission, there are several things you can do. The easiest way is to right click the installation file and select the Run As Administrator option. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "leespurs" <leespurs@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3366428A-FFFB-4685-BBE3-BBA6E649F61E@microsoft.com... > can you help just bought computer 2nd hand done factory restore set up > account but when trying to load software tells me that i have to log out > and > log in with admin power but as i only have 1 log in name with admin power > how > do i change this thanks for any help |
