Vista - Problems activating windows vista

I'm having trouble activating windows vista. I just upgraded some hardware
in my computer and reinstalled the same copy of windows vista that was in the
same old computer. The old computer with my copy of windows vista on it
doesn't exist anymore, (its just the new one with a new motherboard). Can I
activate my copy of windows vista? If so, how do I go about doing all that.
I may run into the same problem when trying to activate office 2007 too.

have you tried the activation by telephone? It won't take long and is very
easy.
