I'm having difficulty with permissions to delete files (in particular, files
in C: and C:/Program Files). I am the sole account on the computer, and am
an Administrator with User Account Control off (at least, until I get this
issue resolved).
When I right click on C: (or any folder in Explorer, really) and click
Properties -> Security, I'm unable to apply changes to any administrator
permissions. I get two pop-up messages: "An error occurred while applying
security information to: [name of folder]. Access is denied.", and "Unable to
save permission changes on [name of folder]. Access is denied." One is a
generic Windows error, and the other is a Security Error.
Help!
