access to computer with password

I would like to set my computer up so that it will literally not turn on
until i enter my password..not just assign passwords to different
users....can someone lead me in the right direction to create this? thanks in
advance.

Yes, you can set a password in the BIOS and as soon as you turn the computer
on, you will need to enter this password before anything can load. See the
following website for instructions.

Hello,

I don't know if it's that what you mean:
Windows-key + R -> syskey -> click Update -> Password Startup
