| RE: Changed Motherboard/Validate Vista I had to do the same thing. IIRC, when I told it to activate online, it failed and gave me an option to do so over the phone. I followed the instructions, and gave the person who answered the information I had in front of me (a bunch of numbers) and they gave me a new license code to put in. I believe that's the only way to do it, unless you actually purchase a new copy of Vista. It was fairly painless. EtG "Popehring" wrote:

| Re: Changed Motherboard/Validate Vista Popehring The message probably states that the product key you entered is already in use, which is correct, because it was already activated by you. The first alternate it should give you is to use the telephone to activate. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "Popehring" <Popehring@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:A172AA7C-7442-43CE-B0C1-598C26337034@xxxxxx
