| | Unwanted folders installed by Vista In the root directory of my OS drive there were a number of empy folders created by something - I assume it was Vista. They all have names like: 2e23bab8965d8884addd8e220128e9 and are empty. Until I know what they are I'm reluctant to just delete them fearing I'll do something unexpected to Vista. Anyone know what these are and can I delete them? |

| | Re: Unwanted folders installed by Vista Those are most likely created on the installation of patches as temporary folders and can be safely deleted. I have deleted the ones on my computer with no ill effects. | | Re: Unwanted folders installed by Vista Those are usually temporary files left over from updates. Reboot the computer and they may be automatically deleted. Otherwise simply delete them (using an account with Administrator access). Sometimes booting to Safe Mode with Administrator access is required. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "andycruce" <andycruce@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E91CFB46-C538-49D3-83F3-6C732A8285B0@xxxxxx Quote: > In the root directory of my OS drive there were a number of empy > folders > created by something - I assume it was Vista.
