Vista - finding files

i have downloading msn messanger 8.1 5 times i usse windows vista and i can't
find the file anywhere and it is driving me crazy!!!!!! help!!!!!!!

Are you using Internet Explorer 7 to download it?

After you click on [Download] on the website, when the security warning box
appears, click on [Save].

When the "Save As" window opens, the download path is shown in the address
bar. You can click on the "Browse Folders" link to open an Explorer window
to change the download location.

Do not try to save files to the "My Documents, My Music, etc." folders, as
these are not really folders.

I have found it best to create a folder named C:\DL to save all of my
downloads to.

yes i am using ie7 and i still can't dl it it won't let me save a new folder
as u said to do and i am at my wits end
