    Dragging files in Windows Explorer

    Hi,

I have Vista Business, 32-bit version. When I drag files in Windows Explorer
from one folder to another it will get stuck and closes itself. The analysis
of the shut down is that I should download KB938979. But this download has
been downloaded and installed months ago, according to the list in the
Windows Update. So, my original problem is not resolved.

I have the same basic problem. See my post "Problems organizing files".

    Dear Mikelis,

I read your problem/string and I agree that it looks the same. But as you
mention yourself the suggested solution is for a 64bit system and we both
have 32bit. Furthermore, it is not a "real" solution, just a more ellaborate
way to work around it. As you said, pre-Vista there was never a problem with
    draging files.
I notice more problems with copy, move and drag files: it occurs regularly
that the the action to move or copy a file just does not work: I have to
repeat the action 2-3 times before explorer wakes up and decides to do it.
Rather a very basic problem for a program as Explorer, don't you think?

You're lucky! For me WinExplorer crashes every time I try to drag any file
to another folder while in a single window!
