Microsoft Word 2000 doc. opening outside of browser

Can anyone assist with this problem: I have windows Vista Home Premium
operating system and Word 2000. I use Express Scribe, which is a program I
use for medical transcription. Since I switched to Vista, it does not allow
me to open a word document inside Scribe. I tried going to the regedit but
it didn't have the options that the Scribe help people said would be there.
They are telling me it's a Vista operating system problem. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Gina

Obtain a Vista-compatible version of Express Scribe.

A Vista compatible version of Express Scribe does not exist

Then the answer is that you have these choices:

1. Use a different program that is compatible with Vista.
2. Try running Express Scribe in Compatibility Mode. See Windows Help &
Support for "Compatibility Mode".
3. Run an operating system that supports the program either as a
dual-boot or virtual machine with Virtual PC 2007 (free) or VMWare (my
preference, but not free).
4. Revert to XP or keep a computer around running XP.

You cannot magically make a program that is incompatible with a
particular operating system into one that is.
