Vista - HELP EMAILS LOST

I have been having problems with my computer constantly turning iteslef off.
I was told by packard bell to back up all my files, and reinstall vista,
which i did. It said that the back up included email files. When i tried to
reinstall my files, i could only do it by using the advanced restore button,
and after i had put disc one in, when i tried to put the rest in it keeps
asking for disc 1. I have skipped this option to overcome this problem, but
none of my email files are back. please help
