| | folders I can't figure out how to sort folders in Vista. They appear in the order in which they were added instead of alphabetically. There must be a simple way to deal with this. |

| | Re: folders Hello, Clicking on the "Name" heading will sort the folder alphabetically. Clicking the name heading again will reverse the sort. This setting will be remembered only for that specific folder. If you want to make all folders that display those kinds of files look the same, click organize, folder and search options, the view tab, and then "apply to folders". -- - JB Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "JHC" <JHC@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0B298F28-F818-4868-8300-199DBA628830@xxxxxx Quote: >I can't figure out how to sort folders in Vista. | Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: folders Take a look at the "How to change the column sort order" section towards the bottom of this tutorial. It will show you how to do it. For when they were added, you should use the "Date Modified" column to sort it. Windows Explorer - Folder Type Templates Shawn |
