display document creation date

suddenly, my document folder in Word, has changed appearance and no longer
displays the date of document creation. It is imperative that I be able to
do so. Is there anyway to retrieve the old format or at least be able to
display the date?

Thanks for any assistance

Re: display document creation date

Open the folder, select
View
Customize this Folder
Customize Tab
Pull down the list under "Use this folder type as a template"
Pick "Documents"

Have fun! Since the beginning of Windows, folders never permanently remember
their properties. Vista is no different.

Hi Norman,

In addition to Wandering's solution, this tutorial will show you how to reset the Folder View settings so that the folder template will not change on you again unless you change it. See Method Two. The download is the easiest way.
