Re: Can I set Explorer like in XP address bar?

Is there an answer to the last post? I to tried the recommended solutions and the vista window's explorer is not displaying the title bar in the classic full path manner.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks (in advance)

What answers were you expecting? All you produced was why you don't like
Vista.

BTW, the "forum" that you are posting in leaches off the Microsoft News
servers in order to make it look far busier than it really is. Everyone who
uses the MS News servers sees your post on it's own - we have NO IDEA what
you are talking about and to whom you are talking.

If you MUST continue to post in this "forum" then please at least quote the
post you are replying to, and do NOT change the subject line.

You would be far better off however, using a news reader and subscribing to
these news groups direct.

Re: Can I set Explorer like in XP address bar?

Hi:

Sorry for any inconvenience. I was referring to the post submitted a while back by "dropping_the_ball" titled "Can I set Explorer like in XP address bar?". In summary, this gentlemen was inquiring (among other things) about getting the classic full path to show up in the vista windows explorer title bar.

In subsequent posts, "Brink" (an administrator) referred to a couple of tutorials on vista folder schemes and options. Its my understanding that if I select "Windows Classic" from the color scheme options (through the desktop personalization option), I should be able to check ""Display the full path in the title bar (Classic folders only)" in the folder options and have the classic full path appear.

As "dropping_the_ball" posted (the post I was referencing), he was unable to get this to work. I have been similarly unable to get the desired result and was wondering if anyone had a similar experience and if they were able to fix it.
