| | Re: problems deleting a file If you are talking about Windows Photo Gallery, then you are seeing the thumbnail of the picture, not the picture itself. It should go away when the database is rebuilt. | | Re: problems deleting a file I think it should do it itself, as you open & close WPG. But if you want to force the issue, try this: The C:\Users\[username]\AppData folder is hidden, so you can't see it until you change your settings to show hidden files. To show hidden files, open Windows Explorer, click on "Organize", select "Folder & Search Options", Select "View", check "Show hidden files and folders", OK Close WPG, then go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery\ Rename Pictures.pd4 to Pictures.pd4.old, and see if that helps. | | Re: problems deleting a file Or you can use Accessories, System Tools, Diskcleanup, and run it on the appropriate drive till it displays a list of things it can remove. Thumbnails is on the list. The machine will then set about rebuilding them from existing files when you access the folder. -- Blessings & peace --- Ray "Dave" <dave@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:epr3IhDMIHA.1168@xxxxxx Quote: >I think it should do it itself, as you open & close WPG. > But if you want to force the issue, try this: > > The C:\Users\[username]\AppData folder is hidden, so you can't see it > until > you change your settings to show hidden files.
