SendTo folder?

Where has the SendTo folder gone?

I want to add a shortcut to NotePad, and remove some of the stuff I don't want
in there.

Hi Nigel,

In addition to Dave's post, this link may help some more.

RE: SendTo folder?

Nigel - I have the same problem - it is something I have used constantly in
XP - but seemingly it is not included in Vista - extraordinary!

Dave, can you give me the procedure for adding items to the SendTo?

Re: SendTo folder?

Just drag shortcuts to the SendTo folder.

\AppData is normally hidden, so you will have to change the folder view to
show hidden files & folders

How very odd! I'd located this folder, and dropped a shortcut into it (via
Desktop), but it didn't work. I just did it again directly, and it now
works! Thank you.

However, there is still a lot of stuff on the SendTo menu that is not in
this folder; all the drives. Any idea where these are in the registry?

Re: SendTo folder?

Nigel

Drives in the Sendto folder are a function of the registry. To remove
those, you can download nodrivesinsendto.reg, found here:
