| | Folder type templates Is it possible to modify the folder type templates themselves? I tend to organize files by grouping them by 'type'... so, instead of being forced to go thru a few extra steps to add 'group by type' in 'customizing this folder', I'd like to modify the TEMPLATES so that the templates default to grouping files by type... Thanks, |

In your case, just set it up as you want it and choose "Apply" and it should propagate to all folders with that template *opened subsequently" I have not found or heard of any other way to modify the templates - let alone create one's own (which would be nice) HTH -- Julian I-Do-Stuff Some Vista stuff, but mostly just Stuff at http://berossus,blogspot.com "M Byrnes" <MByrnes@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:07DAED86-CA9B-400B-B7C7-069CF085D7EC@xxxxxx Quote: > Is it possible to modify the folder type templates themselves? > > I tend to organize files by grouping them by 'type'... so, instead of > being forced to go thru a few extra steps to add 'group by type' in > 'customizing this folder', I'd like to modify the TEMPLATES so that the > templates default to grouping files by type... > > Thanks, |
