Disabling read-only attribute?

I unchecked Read-only radio button for folder, and allow for all sub-
folders, and agree to all the admin checks, but when I go back to the
folder, its still Read-only. What gives?

As it was in XP, the read-only attribute is not applicable to folders in
Vista. This is why you are seeing this behavior. If you want to change
permissions on a folder and all its child folders, you need to do it
differently (security tab). Since you didn't tell us what your end goal
is, that's as specific as I can get.

Hi Zilla,

This tutorial may help you understand the read-only function better. It has changed a bit in Vista.
