'favorites'

My Internet Explorer does not 'find' the Favorites. My Favorites fie folder
has not moved and contains files but the I.E. does not 'look' in the correct
location. How do I tell IE where the folder is. (The error message says it
is trying to open a non-existent folder)

Re: 'favorites'

Internet Explorer does not search your PC. Windows Explorer does.
How exactly are you searching?

Re: 'favorites'

I am not using a search engine or anything; I open Internet Explorer and
choose 'Favorites' on the menu bar a\ns it reads that there are no favorites
saved in the assigned folder. If I click on the Favorites icon (a yellow
star I think), the error message says there are no favorites in the
Lisa/favorites/favorites/favorites/ folder (which does not exist - there are
no favorites subfolders)

Re: 'favorites'

Ok I get it. Search your PC for the Favorites folder. Right click the folder
and choose Properties then click on the Locations tab and click Restore
Defaults.

RE: 'favorites'

this may solve the problem, it did for me.
right click on start, click on explore, find all files and folders named
"favorites" may be 3 or 4, right click on each then click properties, click
location tab then restore at bottom then O.K. it may tell you it can not
complete, that is O.K. just X out after doing this for each occurance, close
W-E open IE, click on add to favorites icon then organize favorites. you may
have to close IE and reopen it for the favorites to appear hope this helps

RE: 'favorites'

I'm in need of help to restore my favorites to my internet explorer .. I
can't locate them on my computer is there any way that you may be able to let
me know where you went to get help? I'm very low on funds right now and can't
afford to pay an IT to come out to my home to restore them for me that's why
I'm trying to get the answer online. The favorites that are gone are VERY
needed by myself and from reading your post it seems like you know what you
were talking about.

Please let me know if your able to provide me with the information that I'm
looking for.

Thank you for your time and help on this ..

Angie
