Why is it that......Folders always becoming Alphabaptised in Vis

Does anyone know how you can stop your folders from becoming
alphabatized as soon as you name a folder? It never used to do that
with XP and I wonder if there is a way to stop it.
Thanks for any help on this matter.

If you're working with a folder in one of the icon modes, right-clicking on
the folder background & selecting 'View' -> uncheck "Auto-Arrange" will
help. I don't see any way to stop it in list or details mode, though.
