| Newbie Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Repair Partition Can someone please help me find a way to repair 2 partitions? I can log into and see my c:\ but I can't see the other 2. In Disk Management my Disk 0 says "Dynamic, Offline", when I try to reactivate it is says "The attempted operation is invalid. Either the parameters specified are invalid or the operation cannot be completed on the selected object. Refer to the Disk Management help for assistance on the correct use of the attampted operation." I really don't want to copy my data somewhere, because it's over 300gb of data. I've got 2 x 400 GB SATA drives as a RAID 0. Can Acronis help? Thanks, lenlesmac |

| Guest | Re: Repair Partition Hi, Which Editon of Vista are you running? Dynamic disks are not supported in either Home Basic or Home Premium. If you are using another Edition, has the dynamic drive ever been listed as online? -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)Batteries not included. | Newbie Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: Repair Partition I'm running Business Ed. Yes, Disk 0 was activated. You see I wanted to go from 64 bit to 32 bit. In doing so I deleted the c:\ drive then tried unsuccessfully to boot up with the 32 bit dvd and it froze. I then successfully repaired 64 bit with the DVD, but then broke my 2 partitions. However, I can see the partitions using Restore2000 (that I will use as a last resort). I would really just love to repair the partitions to avoid recreating 300 gb's of data. Thanks for replying! |

I have used partiotion manager and partition commander as well but as soon as i want to create a partition they tell me there is an error in partitions and i have to run a repair tool!! I just got my laptop from dell and havent changed or touched any thing in the partitions. Dell puts a few tiny partitions for its own stuff i was wondering wether that s the problem or not and if so what should i do to fix it? I havent still tried gparted because i read there might be some errors the next time you restart your pc after partitioning. Could anyone help me please? ![]() Regards |
