| | Re: Searhing text files contents I don't know where I'm supposed to be when I first go to tools. I figured an folder explore window, but I could not find a tools menu. That is how one gets to folder options in XP. I'm new to Vista, and feeling a bit lost... things appear and disappear seemingly randomly. Thanks Michael "Bob F." wrote: Quote: > "UscholdM" <UscholdM@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:423B1D75-C89C-4ACA-ACDE-06B6B5AF4DA8@xxxxxx Quote: > > This does not work for me. | | Re: Searhing text files contents Hi, Michael. I think Bob was starting from a Windows Explorer window, with the Menu Bar displayed; this has a Tools button. If you don't see the Menu Bar in Windows Explorer, you can turn it on momentarily by pressing <Alt> or (semi-)permanently by clicking Organize | Layout and checking that selection. Another way to get there is to click Start | Control Panel | Folder Options. RC -- R. C.
