| | opening documents I have recently purchased a new PC with Windows Vista Home Premium installed as the operating system. I have also purchased and installed Adobe Design Standard CS3 software and installed the bundled Office One software. When I try and open a file using the File > Open menu the dialog box appears but the program then stalls and cannot seem to find the files. The default folder being looked for is Documents. I have a folder called Kingdom Web Services that was set up when I first started the PC and followed the install process of Vista. Is there a way I can get my PC to recognise this Kingdom Web Services folder as a default? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I cannot really use my PC to its full potential until this is resolved. Regards Tony Dunne |

| | Re: opening documents When you choose File>Open are you able to navigate to the Kingdom Web Services folder and open your document from there? If so, many programs will default to the last location used to open a document. Some programs enable you to set defaults through Preferences.
