| | Indexing Options for Network shared folders I have Windows XP Pro running as a file and print server. I can access all the files and printers from Vists 32 but can find no way to setup indexing options to index the files on the server. Is this possible or do I have to bring all the files back to the workstaions? What are the options? Thanks |

| | Re: Indexing Options for Network shared folders If, in Vista, you use Windows Explorer to view a folder on the XP Pro machine, is there a menu option that says "Add To Index" in the strip just below the address window? | | Re: Indexing Options for Network shared folders Hi Mark, Ok I worked out what you meant by strip I think. The option is NOT there. Here is what I see. Organize Views "Network Connections " "Setup a home or small business network" Any clues on how I get that option? | | Re: Indexing Options for Network shared folders Ok just checking a bit more I see the bar changes depending on what network folder you select. If I select the data folder I get. Organize Views and Burn no where can I find Add to index unfortunatly. Out of interest I find browsing and copying files in general to be slow and often locks the computer for a long time.
