SoftwareDistribution\Download folder

Hello,
After fresh installation of Vista I have more than 5G of files in
Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Can I remove these files?
Please advise

Well,

Yes you can delete those files. But first switch off the 'Automatic
Updates' and then delete them.

You may require to restart your PC thereafter. But I guess, it should
work properly.

Well,
Yes you can delete those files. But first switch off the 'Automatic Updates' and then delete them.

I have just removed these files a few days after posting my messages and
there were no problems with the system (and files were not recreated)

Files will be recreated (different one) the next time system is updated
from WU or MU...
