Window Defender Software Explorer

I'm running XP ME SP2 on an Alienware Area 51 m5700i notebook, Core 2 duo
@1.66 GHz, 1.0 GB of RAM, 80 GB NTFS HD.

I want AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Anti-Spyware to startup automatically. How do
I add the programs to the startup menu in software explorer? The option to
remove a program is simple as the click of the button, but I've searched high
and low and not one search result has provided me any answers. I've played
w/the programs and cannot find an autostart option w/in the prgms.

Hi MrBoudin83,

AVG should have an option to start with Vista in the settings somewhere.

You can manually add a shortcut to the EXE files in the "Startup" folder to have these programs run at startup to. This will show you how.

Startup Programs - Enable or Disable

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Window Defender Software Explorer

1.. Click the Start button , point to Programs, right-click the Startup
folder, and then click Open.

2.. Open the location that contains the item to which you want to create a
shortcut.

3.. Right-click the item, and then click Create Shortcut. The new shortcut
appears in the same location as the original item.

4.. Drag the shortcut into the Startup folder.
