SP1 killed DVD backup

After SP1 pushed to 64 bit ultimate, I got an error message when my weekly
backup ran. After much trial and error, I found that the DVD recording
capabilities are gone. CD still works. As a temporary workaround, I
connected an external hard drive until I figure this out. Suggestions are
welcome. Thank you.

RE: SP1 killed DVD backup

For laughs, can you run the command "sfc /scannow" without the quotes from an
elevated command prompt?

Re: SP1 killed DVD backup

Done. Result:
"Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete."

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
