offline oddities

hello world,

::I’m trying to get some offline things working, Sync thinks that
everything is fine; however I get some really ‘fun’ errors.::

::1, Excel 2003 files won’t open, Excel launches, but the spreadsheet
itself never shows up. Explorer.exe then runs up to 80-90% usage and
just sits there. (after 15 min I give up) – this then causes #2.::

::2, I get new randomly (usually Chinese) named folders in my Docs. ::

::3, Word 2003 documents open but _EVERYTIME_ I get ‘insufficient
memory’ error…::

::Total size of Documents is <1 GB , offline files is set to 16 GB so I
have enough disk space, I have 2 GB ram which I’m only seeing about 50%
usage…::

::I’m an a Vista laptop, using a 2k3 r2 server, roaming profiles, and
most other things work; just not while these offline files.::
